Overview
AcuityMD now displays GLN (Global Location Number) identifiers for supported Sites of Care (SoCs). GLNs are a GS1-managed, industry-standard identifier for physical locations like hospitals and clinics, and having them in AcuityMD makes it easier to match, deduplicate, and analyze facilities against your own systems.
Coverage is strongest for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) with procedure volume in the last 12 months. Not every Site of Care will have a GLN.
Finding a Site of Care's GLN
Navigate to a Site of Care record.
Open the Details tab.
Look for the GLN field alongside the facility's other identifiers.
If a Site of Care doesn't have a GLN listed, it likely falls outside current coverage. Coverage includes 92.5% of hospitals (99.6% of hospital procedure volume) and 77.3% of ASCs (91.6% of ASC procedure volume).
Why GLNs Are Useful
Better facility matching — Standardized IDs improve matching accuracy against customer and GPO systems.
Simpler workflows — GLNs make it easier to align AcuityMD data with GPO rosters, purchasing systems, and internal datasets.
More reliable reporting — Use GLNs for consistent filtering, targeting, and analytics across facility data.
